"Hey there, you've really got a great blog! and I was wondering if you could help me out. Well, I've got big brown eyes, long eyelashes, caramel skin tone. What can I do to make my eyes stand out without going for anything dramatic but more natural? Should I use clear or black mascara? Should I use concealer or foundation, meaning, would it make a difference to my skin? I don't really like using too much make up :P Thank you! ;) and sorry for the long ask"

Couldn’t resist the image.

DEFINITELY black mascara over clear!

I love how it looks when bronze/caramel babes have glowing skin and these thick, dense dark lashes. Black mascara doesn’t just curl your lashes and define them. They can make everything look fuller and more lush, which will draw attention to the eyes when you don’t have a whole lot of other makeup on.

You might need nothing else but some bronzer/contouring and a light nude-pink lip gloss.

If you want to add a lil’ somethin-somethin’, I suggest getting a multi-purpose product like ELF’s Allover Color Stick in Golden Peach and dabbing that onto the center of your lids, brow bone, over your cheekbones and in the center of the lips. Then blend out, apply some clear gloss or balm on the lips, and you’re done.

P.S. If you’re not sure if you need concealer and foundation, you probably need very little or none at all.
