My name is Maya, and I’m a high school senior looking forward to getting into a good college! I am a freelance jazz musician, member of our school’s Robotics Club, and a lover of Pokemon and giraffes!

1. How would you describe your makeup style? (i.e. classic 40’s pin-up, etc.)
I usually go with a more natural look, with brown or copper shadows and brown liner, but I sometimes go with a classic, bold, thick line of black on my upper lids and some mascara.
2. Lipstick or Lipgloss? Mascara or false lashes?
I prefer lipgloss to lipstick, I can never put it on without making a mess! I go with just mascara usually, but about a week ago I discovered that false lashes are a lot of fun!

My black mascara, black liquid liner, and concealer!
4. What is your biggest beauty challenge/hurdle?
Using lipstick without getting it EVERYWHERE! And sometimes, getting my concealer to do its job!
5. What beauty product do you have way too many of?
Foundation, interestingly enough! I bought mine in bulk. Unfortunately, the first time I did that, I bought the wrong shade by mistake… woops. I got it right the second time, luckily. But I have a surplus of foundation that isn’t my color!
6. What are your beauty pet peeves? (List 1-3.)
1. Foundation that isn’t the right color.
2. Eyebrows that are too thin.
3. Lipstick on my teeth!
7. Who is/are your favorite beauty icon(s)?
I love the mod style, so Twiggy, of course! Jennifer Lopez as well, I love her natural look and gorgeous hair.
8. What beauty product do you regret buying in the past half year? (List 1-3; hopefully you don’t have too many…)
1. A bunch of foundation that wasn’t my color.
2. Press on nails. My nails are an odd shape, apparently.
3. Volumizing mousse. It just made my hair heavy!
9. What (1-3) items is/are on your current Beauty Wishlist?
1. MAC make-up, in general.
2. A real set of make-up brushes. I use whatever I get in free samples, and they really don’t always do the job.
