Gilded: Dramatic Brown-tones

I wanted to do a gold lip, but not something that was too out-there. This meant pulling out some other warm-tones like coppers and bronzes, to turn the look into something that’s softer and more wearable.
And instead of just swiping on a yellow-gold gloss, I opted to apply a deep brown tone and then dab the gold gloss just in the center of the lips.

Step 1: Apply a black base to the lids from lash line up to the hollow of the socket.

Step 2: Apply a deep coppery brown to the lid, buffing for a molten metal effect.

Step 3: Apply soft bronze liner (Sephora Flashy Liner in Flashy Copper) to the water line.

Step 4: I cut spiky, separated lashes into halves.

Step 5: Apply a thin band of black liquid liner along the lash line to disguise the false lash band.

Step 6: Apply a deep red-brown (Revlon Super Lustrous in Raisin Rage) to the lips, and then blot to remove some color. Then use your ring finger to lightly dab some yellow-gold lip gloss (Lime Crime Golden Ticket Gloss) onto just the center of lips.
