Blue Baby-Doll Mod Eye

This is an adaptation of the 60’s Twiggy Mod Eye with the very drawn-in crease, and bare lids. I wanted to update it a bit by using color, but kept to the overall theme by keeping the lids beige-colored and applying spiky lashes.

Step 1: Start with a soft champagne-beige shadow all the way from lash line up almost to the brow bone. I just used Coastal Scents Shadow Worx Shimmer Primer.

Step 2: Using a pointed brush (below), I applied a green-based deep blue, Coastal Scents Brandeis Blue, along the socket, without touching the inner and outer corners. This is what is going to give you that 60’s Mod eye. Angle the tip of the brush downwards as this gives you a very crisp line at the base and a more blended look above.

Step 3: Using the same brush and shadow, run along the lower lash line as well, building up slowly until you get color.

Step 4: Add more facets by running a smoky grey along the outer half of the socket line (Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Gipsy Silver), then a cobalt blue pencil (Bourjois Contour Clubbing Waterproof in 46 Bleu Neon) along the waterline.

Step 5: Apply spiky, separated lashes to finish the look, after curling your own lashes. If you have very straight or downward pointing lashes, you may need to apply mascara after this so your natural lashes weave into the falsies.

Finish the look with a soft pink-peach blush and nude lips!
