“Aura”: Matte Duo-tone Crease (feat. Coastal Scents Hot Pots)
—-
Sometimes when you want to do strong color, it’s easier to do so using matte colors, as metallic or shimmery shades can very quickly look overdone.
For this look, I’m using 3 new hot pots I got from Coastal Scents.
Step 1: Apply a matte beige (Coastal Scents Raw Silk) along the inner 2/3 of the lids.
—-
Step 2: Apply a strong matte purple (Coastal Scents Thistle Lavender) along the socket line, concentrating the color along the outer corners and leaving the innermost corners bare. Then run along the outer corners of the lower lash line as well.
—-
Step 3: With a fine pencil brush, run a matte hot pink (Coastal Scents Neon Bright Pink) right along the outer edge of the purple, and slowly build up the color if you need. Matte shades are not as easy to work with as shimmery ones, so take your time.
—-
Step 4: Gently smoke out the pink (without touching the purple) using a soft blending brush, and then reapply the purple along the hollow of the socket to blend the two shades just a little and make sure there is no pale gap between them.
—-
Step 5: Finish with a purple pencil along the upper and lower lash lines (Bourjois Regard Effet Metallise in 78 Bleu Chatoyant), and then finish with black mascara.
