Sand and Sky: Neutrals with a Pop of Pastel

If you want to incorporate a little color into your routine but still keep it work or school appropriate, this is a way to do add a twist to your neutrals.
You can replace the pastel blue I used with any other soft/pale colorful shade you like.

Step 1: Using a flat angled brush, apply a thick angled wing along the upper lash line, going from very thin at the inner halves to a thick triangle diagonally upwards, parallel to your lower lash line.
Add the same shade to the outer halves of your lower lash line as well.

Step 2: Now using a flat shadow brush, smooth a soft beige shimmer diagonally from center of the lids upwards in the same direction as the brown you applied earlier. What you want is to soften and blend out the top edges of the darker brown, while keeping the bottom edges very defined.

Step 3: Now for the pop of color. Following the same angle, apply a pastel blue from the inner corners up along the socket line, blending very slightly into the beige earlier. You want to be careful not to blend too much because the colors can get muddy.
Make sure you add a bit to the bottom lash line as well.

Step 4: Finish off the look by running a metallic brown pencil along the upper lash line just for extra definition, and then applying black or dark brown mascara.

And there you have it! Soft, neutral, but with a subtle twist.
