Smudgy rich-purple smoky eye
—
Off the catwalks, people avoid too much shadow under the eyes. Not everyone likes smudgy-looking makeup, but when it’s done tastefully, it can look grungy and sexy, rather than just “a mess”.
This look necessitates applying shadow under the eyes though, so if you have very pronounced bags right beneath your eyes, go for shades that are a bit more satin or matte. If your eye contours are quite flat and you want them to be more pronounced, go for more shiny/metallic shades.
To get this look, just follow this tutorial, but swop out the black and blue shadows with a deep, rich, royal purple. Then make sure you apply black pencil on the tightline and waterline, before your mascara.
On the lips, just apply a natural-colored lip pencil all over and rosy tinted gloss or balm.
