"Hi! First, I recently discovered your blog, and i love it so much! I was wondering how you touch uo your make up throughout the day, and what products you use. I have oily skin, and it's been insanely hot where I live, so i'd love to get some advice/tips from you. Thanks!"

This is my (not very secretive) secret!

I don’t really touch up my powder during the day (it’s really hot where I am) but I blot with powdered blotting sheets every 2-3 hours even when I am in air-conditioned rooms This helps to keep my makeup fresh because you are regularly removing oils that will break it down.

I try not to touch up more makeup or powder unless my makeup has sweated off or faded (this seldom happens unless I’m running around outside for an event, etc). And then I just touch up with MAC Studio Perfect Powder Foundation (I use the Belightful SPF25++ version available here in Asia).

Instead of a regular MAC sponge, I use a Sephora dual-effect sponge with it because it has 2 sides; one for heavy coverage and one for light coverage. I only use the feathery ‘light”-coverage side so I don’t cake on too much product.

If I have a spot to cover and my concealer needs touching up, I always clean off any makeup on the blemish first, before touching up. I use a drop of oil-free makeup remover on a clean sheet of tissue or Q-tip (I always bring some in a tiny disposable eye drop bottle), wipe off the makeup covering the spot, apply a little benzoyl peroxide to kill acne bacteria (either Proactiv or Persagel), BEFORE reapplying concealer and powder on that spot only.

I don’t usually touch up my eyes or cheeks.

For my lips, I just reapply as needed, straight from the tube!

Usually my lip color lasts quite long because I wear lipstick mostly. I seldom wear lip gloss. If I’m feeling lazy, I’ll just blot it off and wear lip balm while I’m at work, then only reapply lipstick only when I’m leaving the office for the day.
