"Winner Announcement for 200,000 Follower Giveaway!
(Who won the MAC Saint Germain, MAC Smoked Purple, and Rimmel/Essie?)"
Thank you once again for taking the time to participate. It was quite helpful for me to find out what posts you liked and ESPECIALLY useful for me to know why it helped you, and that you actually wore them!
I’ve read through every single comment and taken a day to narrow it down to the below 3. If you didn’t win please don’t be too disappointed; I’ll definitely continue to hold giveaways from time to time!
The 3 winners for this round are:
1. MAC Saint Germain: morethanprinceofcats
“My favorite posts from makeupbox are the Marina tutorial and the post about kajals - the former because the look minus the eyelashes is really subtle but put-together and I ended up wearing it like, every day for weeks because I felt too depressed to do high-maintenance makeup, yet I still felt good about myself because the look is still pretty glamorous; and the latter because it was so informative and now i want one!”
2. MAC Smoked Purple Lipstick: swampert
“One of my favorite posts is this one [Le Classique]. As much as I love dramatic make-up, I always find myself draw to more classic looks. You really can’t go wrong with defined eyes and a red look. It suits everyone and brings out your natural beauty with a little pop from the lips! I love this particular tutorial because it is so simple and easy to follow (most of your tutorials are, actually), and it has a few tricks that I never really realized you could do! Using foundation as the perfect barely-there lid color is genius, as is the bit about smudging the wing to make the eyes look smokier and less intense! Still so elegant but in a more modern, youthful way! I love.”
3. Rimmel Precious Crown + Essie Dive Bar: olivialea
“I particularly loved this tutorial, Lakeshore, because I’m a huge sucker for water, it makes me so happy and when I’m sad I’m drawn to it. So seeing it on my eyelids makes me really happy; I even used this tutorial on my last birthday to add a little “oomph,” to the day!”
Consolation price: pictoriality
Yes this was a sneaky extra I decided to throw in. I’m not saying what it is; you’ll know when you get it!
Congratulations and I’ll be dropping you guys a message on Tumblr for your mailing address soon. If you’re not active on your account and I do not hear back from you within 3 days, I’m afraid I’ll have to forfeit the prize and pick another winner!
