"omg. you need to find us a dupe for the greed palette asap!! that was the perfect kardashian palette!!"

I have got so MANY questions from all of you asking me about where to locate Greed and what might be a dupe.

Let me first say there is no whole-palette dupe of this. Certain shades from other brands would be dupes of various shades inside, but many of these would be high-end, since drugstore brands are VERY weak at coming up with matte shades.

I can list you all the shades from MAC that would match Greed, but then every single shadow I list would cost more than the entire palette ($5), so it just doesn’t make sense.

I suggest you get yourself »HERE« - like RIGHT now and stock up while they’re still $5 (instead of some silly price on eBay some day), if you can no longer find it in the drugstores around you.

Silent Treatment, which I recently featured is also here.

P.S. I just saw they have a 24 Hour flash sale. Enter FLASH24 for 25% off storewide, excluding clearance and exclusive items. Go crazy!

[UPDATE] For those of you who want to find dupes for the matte side (left column) of the palette, these would be:

Cream/beige shade: MAC Brule

Peach/Tan shade: MAC Bamboo (more tan than Greed), MAC Tete-a-Tint (slightly warmer)

Black: MAC Carbon

"Hiya, your latest tutorial had me wondering, how similar is Mac Idol Eyes to the silvery-purple shade from the Wet n Wild Greed palette? Because I love that shade, and now that the Greed palette is discontinued, I've been searching for dupes. I would really appreciate if you could let me know. Thanks so much, you're awesome :)"

VERY similar!

(I didn’t know they discontinued Greed!! Bummer!)

I was actually looking at them side by side the other day. But the one in Greed is a bit less shiny/sparkly. I think Idol Eyes has a little bit more of that pretty lavender hue as well so it is a bit more dimensional, but you also will tend to get a bit more fall-out on your cheeks if you don’t use it wet, since the flecks are larger.

I’m a little late on the Coloricon train, but I finally got a few from Nonpareil.com, and I’ve been loving them so far.
The first one I decided to try was the 6-color #246 Greed palette, below. I think the shades are gorgeous. The pigmentation of the matte shades is higher on touch, but if you apply them with a brush, over primed lids, the metallics perform just as well, and are really gorgeous.

(Wet n Wild Coloricon 246 Greed)
One tip: Try to avoid applying or touching these with your fingers or you could end up hardening and “sealing” the metallic shades.

Step 1: Apply the soft indigo-grey with the gold sheen, on the top-right of the palette.

—-
Step 2: Create a contrast using a warm matte brick-beige shade (middle-left) along the outer 2/3 of the socket line, winging upward and outwards just slightly. This will go on more red than it looks in the pan.

—-
Step 3: With the dark glimmering charcoal (bottom-right), add some depth in the outer corners, and along the lower lash line.

—-
Step 4: Apply black liner along the water line and upper lash line, then apply black mascara and/or false lashes.

—-
Step 6: Finish with a matching light peach-pink blush (NYX Angel, or even a blend of the two peach shades in the palette) and a soft warm lip color (NYX Tea Rose).
