Hey I am blonde with green eyes. Do you happen to have any tips that would make my green eyes pop? :))
Green eyes can be played up with both a matching soft green-grey shadow, or a contrasting plum/burgundy! Some people like purples but I only recommend darker ones as brighter purples somehow make green eyes look grey instead.

gingergirlgiggles asked: best colours for green eyes and ginger hair?xo.
For eye color, see above! For the rest of the face, it really depends on your skin tone. If you are very pale, a strong red, coral or orange lip looks very arresting, paired with soft peachy cheeks. If you are tan/caramel, try a peachy- or pink-nude such as MAC Please Me for a beautiful pout.

How can I get to be featured on your follower interviews? I love your blog, by the way! You’ve helped me a lot! (:
Thank you! The Follower Interviews started as a contest for my 1st Anniversary on Tumblr (Feb). Unfortunately, the contest submission timeline is now closed as there are too many entries to publish within this month. Thank you to everyone for the warm response!
BUT I’ll probably be continuing to do these interviews on a regular (and less intensive) schedule and pick one to publish each week. Let me know if you guys are still interested!

i have the sephora holiday box from christmas ‘11. and i LOOOVE the lip products! i tried the pink one, and it didnt last long- i dont have lip primer though! any ideas on what i could do instead? or some really inexpensive primers- so like, i if i was to kiss my boyfriend, it wouldn’t rub off? thanks! xo. love your tumblr girl!
(Thank you!)
Actually, lip primer does not stop lip color from rubbing off. It’s just a base to allow color to go on smoother and more evenly, and to sometimes fill in lines so your lipsticks and glosses don’t bleed into them. If you want something kiss-proof, get a lip stain! Many drugstore brands now carry a line, such as Revlon Just Bitten. You just apply it, spread it around to even it out, let it stain your lips and then you’re good to go for a few hours.

so, i have short-medium sort eyelashes, how good would be illegal mascara? like without makeup you cant notice my lashes, but once i pile on the products, its long. ideas? thanks!
Maybelline Illegal Lengths has really good reviews on makeupalley.com and among bloggers online so while I haven’t actually tried it myself (local drugstore have not started stocking it), I’d say it would be a pretty good bet for you to try next!
If you don’t mind splashing out more money, a lot of Asian cosmetic lines like Majolica Majorca do really good mascaras since many of us in Asia tend to have shorter, downward-pointing lashes and need mascaras that are really lengthening and good at holding a curl.

How do you do your eyebrows? I don’t my eyebrow to be thin, so I get afraid to go to salons in America.
Anonymous asked:
Hi I have naturally thick black eyebrows …how do I shape them I have a round face. Advice?

Only pluck/shave underneath the outer halves of your brows (and a bit in the center, above your nose bridge, if you have dark hair). Don’t try to over-pluck the area between your brows or fake an arch if your brows are naturally straighter or have a gentler curve. It will just end up looking odd!
(Anyway thicker, straighter brows are really in right now.)
As for the shape that suits a rounder face, avoid over-thinning the base of the brow at the inner halves, or you could end up with a half-moon shape that is really unflattering on anyone, but especially those with rounder faces.

any make-up tips for people with glasses i just recently got some and want to know how to wear my make-up :) i have dark brown eyes and tan skin my skin is also very dry :) <3
Anonymous asked:
I wear glasses and my dullish blue eyes are pretty small what eye make up styles would you recommend that wont get in the way?
I’m going to do an tutorial -and-tips post for girls with glasses as soon as I find a bit of time! (I wear glasses btw; I just use lenses most of the time because glasses give me a headache.) The good thing about glasses is that you can really wear stronger colors and still get away with it for day time and school/work.
Quick-tip to get you started: Ultra-lengthening mascara and falsies are out. You don’t want them plastered against your lenses all day.

Hi, I’ve been trying to find a new look with eyeshadow. I have brown dreadlocks, and blueish grey eyes. A round chubby face, what would you suggest?
From your pictures on tumblr, I think you’ve got the warm brown eyeshadow down pat. Some different things you might want to try to complement that fierce hair:
- Replaced your regular brown with a more amped-up brown, like MAC Club shadow.
- Keep your lids natural and apply a strong teal or smoky-black line along your lower lashes only.
- Do the Tilda Swinton (if you have very little lid space, you can smoke it all the way up towards the brows - if not, keep it just below your brow bone): Go matte-black all the way up the lids, and keep the rest of your face almost bare. This would look smoldering with your skin tone and hair, and makes any eye color pop.

I have brown eyes with a little bit of green on the bottom. How can I accentuate the green color in my eyes?
Wear a stronger, deeper brown or plum (i.e. brown-purple) and a dark black or black-brown liner!
What you’re trying to do is to down-play the brown in your eyes, so wearing a stronger and more solid brown (as opposed to something sparkly and shimmery) will make the brown in your eyes “fade”. Conversely, if you wear a deep plum, that fits with the browns in your eyes but contrasts with green tones so those are more likely to stand out better.

Okay, I probably should have looked at how to submit this question… but I’m a rebel. JK. Anyways, do you have any tips for a brunette with pale blue/grey eyes. My hair is pretty dark by the way, almost black sometimes. I’m extremely lousy with makeup and I was just hoping you could help.
Start simple! You have what some call “high-drama” coloring (dark hair, probably fairer skin, blue eyes) so you can afford to wear stronger colors on your face. I’d suggest a stronger lip and a clean eye with just black liner and mascara, as this is the easiest to do and makes the most impact.
I can’t tell you what color lipstick works better as I can’t see an image of you or your skin tone, but I’d say most rosy pinks (e.g. like NYX Dusty Rose Black Label lipstick) would look great for day, and a strong red like Maybelline Color Sensational Red Revival lipstick would be very pretty for night.

Hi, where do you order your Bourjois products from?
I get Bourjois from my local drugstore, and I’m afraid I can’t recommend any online shops with international shipping other than eBay or Amazon maybe. It’s readily-available in most parts of Europe and many places in Asia.

hi! i just want to know how you would make your brown eyes really pop?
It depends what shade of brown you are! If your eyes are a medium to light brown, you can bring them out by wearing any smoky cool-toned color like purple, greys, navies, and making sure to line your eyes with black.
If they are very dark (almost black), there’s no way to make the color “pop”, but the good news is your eyes will stand out since they are so dark, so you can wear pretty much any color on the lids, as long as you make sure your lashes (or lash line) is darker than your eyes.

Hi. My eye makeup is like pitiful or close to it. My daily routine is just black eyeliner and mascara. Sometimes I attempt a smokey but fail miserably lol. I want to have a better approach ya know? My eyes change color from green hazel to blue throughout the day. They change with my moods. They can go from bright green, to forest, to bright blue, to gray/blue, to brown, to everything with flecks of purple and yellow. What would be best for me? Thanks! love your blog btw :)
Sounds like you have eyes that can work with almost any color shadow! I think many people find smoky eyes tricky because they don’t know where the color should end.
Easy smoky-eye 101:
- Wear any dark color within the lid area (no further than the crease line) and no further out than the outer corners of your eyes) and really pack it on strong.
- Then use a clean, fluffy blending brush to just sweep very quickly back and forth along the edges like a wind-shield wiper, until you have no more obvious line.
- At the outer corners, use a Q-tip to wipe off anything that is lower than the outer corner of your eyes.
