Versatile Smoky-Taupe Day Look (Coastal Scents and L.A. Splash)
—-
This is a super-quick and simple neutral look that can work equally well in the day or evening.
Smoky eyes don’t always have to be a deep, dark color. I’m using a dirt-brown matte pigment (L.A. Splash Sand Dune) and a soft silvery taupe-beige (Coastal Scents Hot Pot #S29). I wasn’t able to capture the “grey-ness” of this color in the picture below.

Step 1: Apply a dark base and then gently pat dark brown shadow in the outer corners only. This gives some depth.

—-
Step 2: Apply a metallic beige taupe to the inner 3/4 of the eye lid, extending up just to the hollows of your socket. (If you want this look to be a bit more smoky, reverse the proportion of dark and light eye shadows to 3/4 dark, 1/4 light.)

—-
Step 3: Apply a chocolate brown liner to the lash line, and then gently along the water line as well. Then finish with black mascara.

And you’re done!
